Description
Despite our efforts globally to implement renewable energy sources, as of 2019, 84% of the global electricity production comes from fossil fuels (carbon, oil and gas). This means that by producing high levels of energy consumption you are contributing to the increase in global emissions. With this week’s challenge, we encourage you to curve your emissions. With the guidelines of this challenge you can take small steps to make a big difference!
Levels
- Level C: Cut your unnecessary use of electricity, turn off the lights when you leave a room. Moreover, make sure to unplug the devices that you are not using, they consume electricity ever when they are switched off!
- Level B: Laundry does not need to be so hot! You can go ahead and turn down the temperature of your washing machine to 30°/40°, instead of 60° to save energy, it will also be less harmful for your clothes!
- Level A: Small sacrifice for a positive impact. Keep the heating at home as low as possible, to curve your consumption. Instead wear a nice sweater, a warm blanket and drink a cup of coffee or tea!
