Green Reality

Green Reality is the city of Lappeenranta’s initiative to showcase all the efforts being carried out by the city. You will be able to find information about events happening around the are, understand the activities the council is involved in and contact the different departments to find out more.

Saimaa Ringed Seal Protection

The Saimaa ringed seal is an endangered species autochthonous to Lappeenranta, currently endangered with less that 400 species alive in the wild. This association works for the preservation of this species, organizing different conservation projects and are looking for help from donations or volunteers!

Lappeenranta Environmental Office

The Office is responsible for statutory environmental health services, veterinary treatment and environmental protection in the region of Lappeenranta.

UN Finland

The United Nations has been a historically key organization on the development of our current sustainable development policies, regulating governance and pushing green-policy creating. Finnish Association for Nature Conservation

The Finnish Association for Nature Conservation (FANC) is the largest non-governmental organization for environmental protection and nature conservation in Finland. It has been a frontrunner in Finland’s environmental affairs since 1938. The purpose of FANC is to protect the Finnish natural environment, promote nature conservation, preserve cultural heritage and spark up active citizenship and strong environmental awareness.
